Instructions
To install skins/mod packs:
- Go to: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin (Alpha) or C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Temp\www.minecraft.net\Minecraft (Creative)
- Open minecraft.jar with WinRAR
- Drag the folders / files from the pack into the .jar file. (select if prompted to overwrite files)
Note: AppData is a hidden folder if you haven't unhidden them:
- Go to Control Panel
- Select Classic View
- Select Folder Options
- Select View Tab
- Under Hidden Files and Folders, select the show option

i am very excited to get this but i dont know how to switch skins could some1 send me picture illustartions on how to change texture packs? i also dont know how to change it on windows 7 i dont know if its different but i actually seems like it. Thank you.

Hey Konrad,
If you look under Tools > Misc Tools we have a Texture Pack Swapper that lets you easily swap out texture packs. It's called Sk1nSw1tch. :)
I emailed you the preecompiled minecraft.jar
i got the sk1nsw1tch thing i hate it i still havent gotten it all out of my software sry i just dont like it >:P
awwwww.... i had this idea!... were you reading my mind? or is this just reeeeaaaaly ironic...
is it okay if i use this for the base of my candyland texture pack?
